Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube chan’nel has taken a cheeky dig at Lio’nel Messi and other legendary footballer’s in the latest video. The Portuguese sta’r has produced a Formula 1-inspir’ed race video where he is seen pass’ing footballers to beco’me the firs’t to score 900 career goa’ls.

 

In the video, Ron’aldo is pict’ured as a Formula 1 driver and is se’en racin’g past the likes of Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Pele. The’ voiceo’ver makes it like a race in which the Al Nassr superstar starts at the ba’ck of the gr’id and makes it to the pole by the’ end.

 

Towards the end, when Ron’aldo is passing the likes of Messi a’nd Pele, the voiceover says:’

 

“He passes Pele they sho’w respect to each other but wait his tough’est opponent is here – Lionel Messi! And Cristiano pushes himself to the m’ax and passes the Arg’entinian! Bye Messi, bye! Cristiano is over 900 (and) this is unreal! A thousand goals are’ withi’n reach. Join us next time to witness together as he reaches the one 1,000 goals ma’rk”

 

Cristiano Ronaldo beca’me the first footballer to score 900 care’er goals when he netted again’st Croatia in September. The 39-year-old is no’w targeting 1000 goals despite acknowledging he is close to retir’ement.

Cristiano Ronaldo insisted he wa’nts to score 1000 career goals before hang’ing up his boots. The Portuguese ace previously took a dig at Pele’s go’al tally and hinted there is no proof for all the goals the legendary Brazilan scor’ed in his career.

He told Rio Ferdinand in a vid’eo released on his YouTube channel ear’lier this year:

“I want to reach 1,000 goals. If I don’t have any injuries, thi’s for me is the most import’ant [thing], I want that. For me, the best mark th’at I can ha’ve in football is to reach, fir’st, 900 goals. After, my chall’enge is to be at 1,000 goals. All the goals I have scored, they have video. They all have video. Listen, I respect all of them [Pele and Di Stefano]. And if you want more goals, I can bring them from training, to’o. And I will prove to the people after. They prefer this pla’yer, or this is the best one. I don’t care about th’at.”

 

Cristiano Ronaldo is curren’tly on 904 goals and is going strong for Al Nas’sr. He will also be with the Portu’gal national side this month for the’ir UEFA Nations League matc’hes.
